I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
